If you haven't yet seen Ouran and plan to, you might want to skip the description ahead. At least until you've watched the first ep.
...And last but not least, our longsuffering heroine ^^ I love so much that she's not your generic shoujo character.
Loosely speaking, Haruhi is a Heinz with a good haircut (courtesy of the Host Club, of course ). Her dad is a mostly-chocolate-lab-but-with-traces-of-setter, and her mum was a minipoodle-setter-one-of-those-longlegged-smoothcoated-terriers thing. (Poodle and terrier for smarts and determination, and setter for straight silky fur. And daddy is mostly Lab because a) the colour works, and b) he supposedly reminds her of.. well, other daddy. )
This was fun! (I think some group pictures are in order.) If anyone wants to see any of the other characters doggified (or has suggestions for breeds, that would be nice), don't hesitate to let me know xD
I've seen all your Ouran dogs and all I can say is that I would kill to see Kasanoda as a dog too >w< The way in which they are matched up and protrayed is just perfect! Congrats with it, they're all so adorable!
Now, Let's see if some research can give me some hints of a dog that'd fit Kasanoda. Cause, after you're series, I'm just really curious about that! X3
I actually have more or less come off my Ouran kick. These pictures as you can see were done almost two years ago, and even though I still have great affection for the series, I doubt I'll be drawing any more fanart for it. So sorry! Glad you enjoyed the ones I have up, though, thank you!
I know, I noticed that they were rather aged, but an artist's work is still always valid for a positive comment, no? Besides, they are rather inspiring. I think Ill give a hand upon the subject as well, turning popular characters into animals should be entertaining >w<
I very much appreciate the comment and the support, and I am happy you like them, thanks! I think I thanked you previously as well. I simply wanted to clear up that I won't be doing any more of these. Perhaps I should change the descriptions. That's just the thing -- too many people do that, turning popular human characters into animals. At the time, it was fun for me because the mangaka herself had commented on Mori being like a Siberian Husky and Honey like a Pomeranian in the first issue of the manga, and when I realised that I could think of breeds of dogs to match the others I was happy to do that. But I find that too many people seem to be drawing human or other-species characters as wolves or lions or whatever, so that's more or less why I personally stopped doing it. If you're inspired, though, go for it!

Love her just as well. I've seen all your host dog pictures. You should do a group picture with them ALL! lol. But if they were playing around, it would look weird, because a dog eating cake? (Hunny/Hani)...and two that look the same hassling over another, while another sulks...(Twins, Haruhi, Tamaki) like any normal scene in the anime/manga. Ah I don't care how weird it would look! Please draw some more. :]
I appreciate your interest in the Ouran dogs, and I thank you so much for taking the time to comment and tell me that you love them, but I'm afraid I doubt I'll be drawing them any more, or at least posting them. I drew them all when I was on a big Ouran kick, though, and even though I still have great affection for the series I've kind of come off that high. There's also the fact that I am always hesitant to draw fanart - especially for a fandom that is a large one - because I'll always feel like people are paying attention because of their love of the series, and I'd rather have people pay attention to my gallery for my own art.
So yes, I am very sorry but that's the way I feel. I really hope you understand that. I do have this [link] in my scraps though. :3

you think you can do that scary red haired guy? I kinda like hi and it would be so cool to see what you came up with!
